Level 7 Parka of the Patagonia MARS ( Military Advanced Regulator System) 7 layering system for the US Military S.O.F P.C.U- Special Operation Forces Protective Combat Uniform Layering garment system with 7 Levels developed by US SOCOM. LEVEL 7-F or extreme conditions, this lightweight, loft-insulated level in a jacket, vest and pants has the feel of down but retains its warmth when wet. Silicone-encapsulated fabric sheds water and is paired with Primaloft insulation for maximum warmth while the liner pulls away moisture.
This jacket is the ULTIMATE in cold weather protection in any environment. Cold, wet and scared is no way to go through life - unless you're an alpinist, and then at least you have the DAS. This bombproof belay parka, with its high-loft hollow-fiber insulation, stays warm even when wet, sheds snow, and blocks wind. The light-yet-tough polyester quad ripstop shell fabric is treated with a Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish, and reinforced at the shoulders, elbows and hips. An adjustable hood fits over helmets, and the high front insulates your face. Finer points: insulated hand warmer pockets, chest pocket, inside mesh pockets for drying gloves and a 2-way front zip that lets you see your belay device.
