Polartec® worked closely with the Special Operations Forces program office at Natick to develop Polartec® Alpha™ technology, the latest evolution of synthetic insulation. This technology was specifically designed with the SOF users in mind and has been incorporated into the Protective Combat Uniform (PCU) Level 3A jacket, an extremely versatile piece of gear.

This lightweight, packable, wind resistant fabric package is also breathable, allowing the user to stay comfortable during both static and aerobic conditions.The insulation is constructed so that the fibers are not prone to migration through the face fabric and is engineered to enhance signature management.

The PCU Level 3A jacket is currently being fielded to U.S. SOF users located in the world’s most hostile conditions.  Not in the US Special Forces...no problem you can still get the jacket in our store.
